French milling (also called triple milling) is the key to producing an affordable luxurious natural french milled soap bar.
Before the French milling process is made of soap material into the soap bar, the soap material goes through a heavy conditioned stainless rollers machine and the mes roller sets have a very tight tolerance (.10mm to 1515mm) and the best mesh has a .5mm opening, turning the soap into a fine paste. . To put this in perspective, the diameter of a human hair ranges from .04mm to 25mm. That means the gap that the soap mixture has to cut is the average human hair size! Through this miller process the soap is thoroughly blended and blended into all components and the mesh removes any unclean or foreign material.
Tools must be made to maintain pressure in order for the French Triple Milled Soap process to work optimally, as the soap is mixed with rollers and mesh. That means the equipment is expensive and heavy! Light weight mills are relatively ineffective because they cannot apply pressure and do not hold the tolerance required to properly blend soap.
The most important thing is that the bar produced by French milling lasts much longer than non-ground soaps because it is compressed under pressure (by roller sets), thus eliminating trapped air (air pockets) and excess moisture, resulting in a hard and durable bar. No more soft, soft or solvent soaps! In addition, the value of the bar is better because it lasts longer. One of our milled bars will last 3 to 5 times longer than the same size of a poured bar.
