Disney+ Day is on November 12, and the company is planning to celebrate the second anniversary of its streaming service with a bang.
Disney+ Day will feature the following digital premieres on Disney Plus Hotstar:
- Special Ops 1.5 season premiere
- Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings digital premiere
- Jungle Cruise digital premiere
- Home Sweet Home Alone
- Olaf Presents
- Streaming debut of Frozen Fever, Feast, Paperman, and Get A Horse! shorts
- Pixar’s Luca spinoff short film Ciao Alberto
- A new short from The Simpsons
- First five episodes from The World According to Jeff Goldblum season 2
- Dopesick premiere
On top of the new announcements, Disney also revealed that “non-subscribers will also gain access to preview 100 hours of content across genres, participate in exciting new social promotions and experiences” on the service.
“The inaugural Disney+ Day will be a grand-scale celebration of our subscribers across the entire company,” said Bob Chapek, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “This day of appreciation brings to life our mission to entertain, inform, and inspire fans and families around the globe through the power of unparalleled storytelling, and will become an annual tentpole event to be amplified across our global businesses.”
Disney will also be announcing new projects in the future of Star Wars and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This will include a Disney+ Special focused on Boba Fett, a potential new look at The Book of Boba Fett, and potentially extra announcements and teasers for Marvel’s She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Secret Wars and more shows which are currently in production.
Disney Plus Hotstar recently added Black Widow and Free Guy to the service in India. More announcements will come leading up to and on November 12 during Disney+ Day.
