Mobile Premier League (MPL) is all set to officiate the launch of its latest venture, Mayhem Studios, in Mumbai today. The gaming company announced the new AAA studio recently which will focus on developing AAA mobile games for the domestic and international markets.
The launch event is scheduled to take place in Mumbai today i.e. May 17 2022 where Mayhem Studios plans to announce the first game it is working on. Several reports and leaks have suggested that the studio is developing a battle royale title. If this is true, it will be in direct competition with SuperGaming’s Indus which is also a battle royale title that is in the works.
While the announcement of a new game is quite exciting, the way it is being announced is very unique. MPL is going all out with this and plans to use around 750 drones to light up the Mumbai sky to announce the game. The show will end with the drones showcasing a QR code in the sky which will possibly lead to a download link for the game or its trailer. The event will be livestreamed on Mayhem’s YouTube and Instagram handles.
The game that will be announced today will just be a small part of what Mayhem plans to do. It already has plans to develop many more games and also has plans to work towards esports.
